As American kitchen pantries get a lot of attention this holiday week, I hope you can take a moment to stock your mental pantry, too!

Holidays can be both joyous and stressful, and one way to keep things more joyful is to be prepared - to have your ingredients, dishes, and appliances ready for action.
Same goes for your mental tools!
Take stock of the techniques you have available to you before the stress hits, because once it does, it will be much easier to remember to, for example, do a breathing exercise or go for a walk or practice active listening if you checked in on your mental pantry ahead of time.
Stocking your mental pantry can keep you from being caught off guard by the stress and having to remember to ask, “where did I put that mindfulness technique?”
